Galway!!

We made it safe and sound to Ireland and have been exploring the west coast for the last couple days. We arrived on Thursday in Dublin and drove over to Galway and met up with Eric's brother at the Park Lodge in Spiddal where they're staying. Thursday also happened to be Arthur's Day, the 250th birthday of Guinness. We indulged in lots of free beer and festivities, mostly just walking around raising our glasses and saying "cheers to arthur!" It was fantastic. This weekend also happened to be Oyster Festival in Galway so on Saturday we watched the Pearl of Galway (the local princess) present the first oyster of the season to the mayor of Galway. Eric enjoyed some oysters and we spent the rest of the day stopping into various pubs and exploring Galway.
